Music Monday

Hi Everyone,
I hope you are doing well, I am doing good. When Michael Jackson passed away this June I had never heard this song to the best of my memory. When they released the rehearsal tape of him on June 23rd Christa and I loved the song he was singing and the people he was performing with. So I thought it was part of his new stuff coming out. Then I was talking with my sister and she said it was a song off his History Album. I realized then that I let the media influence me about what could now be false accusations and I stopped listening to his music. Although I would have waved both sides if the media gave them to us all but, Martin Berkshire of 20/20 would always turn every thing Micheal said into something dirty and Micheal said that to his face. I truly believe now that Neverland was meant to be a place of love that embraced childhood, then a few people decided to cash in. I know you should not sleep in a bed with other people's children but I can't help but wonder now was it just his way of showing love to all children, may not be right in our book, but I think he really meant it to be innocent. After the trial he never returned to Neverland. Anyway I can see why he kicks ass in this song, I would have too if I was innocent of something. I could not get the lyrics. I am looking forward to seeing the full rehearsal released in October. FYI to all the Martian's out there Madonna has grabbed her crotch while singing as well LOL!.
Rest in Peace Michael

Balance Your Emotions

Photobucket

Hi Everyone, I hope you are doing well. I am doing good. The world is filled with magic and it is also filled with sadness, with this loving kindness practice you may find a way to cultivate a sense of stability in yourself that allows you to accept sadness and not just cling to joy. Dealing with difficult emotions are hard for all of us and it is easier to focus on joy and happiness. When you do this practice find that good feeling in your heart and try to feel it throughout your body. Then think of a sadness inside you, Don't try to control it or change it. Let both feelings of love and sadness pass through your heart like waves, don't grasp onto one or push the other away. Continue in this way until you feel a calm balance between these feelings. As you go about your day this practice may help us to find balance in the mist of our chaotic, every changing emotions. You may not feel that the first time you practice it, but keep trying and it will come to you.

Edward Morrow Kennedy

Hi Everyone,
I hope you are doing well, I am doing good. Today I was a part of history here in Massachusetts and throughout the world. I was able to go to my exit 9 here in Kingston Ma, and wave goodbye to Edward Morrow Kennedy. I was truly touched to be able to say Thank You Teddy as he and his family passed by. He did so much for all of us here in the bay state and around the world. One story I heard which is many of thousands that we do not know about is how he reached out to each and every one that lost a wife or husband on that fateful day 9/11. He invited them one by one to his house in Hyannis and took them out on his boat for fun and laughter. At the end of each and everyone of his visits with them, he asked them what do you need and I will advocate to get you what you need in Congress. He was true to his word and he did get them what they needed and asked for no recognition. My daughter could not understand why we were all out there on the streets and bridges. I guess our younger generation does not understand until he has been gone for a while, how much one person can do to change and help their world. Rest in Peace Teddy, I just heard there was a rainbow over the Kennedy Library tonight, How appropriate!!
God bless.

Music Monday

Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all doing well. Before I hit the hay I have not forgotten about Music Monday. My sister Karen introduced me to The Dave Matthews Band. I have grown to love their music plus everything they do. They give back so much to their workers and society, Dave Matthews pays for all of his workers kids college education and everything on their website that you buy is Donated to a charity, for example if you buy a pair of his shoes, a pair of shoes will be donated to a child who needs shoes. So this Monday Music I want to share another one of their songs from the new album, It is titled Spaceman. I love the last line when he sings "I thought I saw a spaceman trying to get laid" He is also a comic I think he was poking fun at the lady astronaut who drove for miles in a diaper to get rid of her lovers new lover
LOL Enjoy :)

A Day full of Happiness

Photobucket
Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all doing well. I am doing good. This loving kindness meditation is about one of our most important physical and emotional parts of our body. Our hearts. Your heart is a muscle. It also needs to be exercised. If your life experiences have led you to lock your heart up and throw away the key then your heart is in need of some reviving. In order to do that you may need to practice living from your heart again, rather than your fearful mind. Some people live from the heart, those who do are just naturally trusting and loving and appear to believe in the goodness of the the world. I know that is how I am and I often learn the hard way sometimes. If you live your life on the lookout for danger, you are probably always on guard and ready to protect yourself against any person because you fear them from earlier life experiences, they hurt you when you when you were in a trusting place. So today you can decide if you want your heart to be guided full of love or continue to live in a fearful mind. The bravest thing you could ever do is love. What would it be like to go back to the time you responded from your heart and not your fear filled mind? You may begin to notice the world is full of more allies, than enemies. Opening your heart again, you will feel your world expanding. Although it may be hard for you, for just one day act from your heart. Simply say to yourself throughout the day,
"May I listen to my heart"
"May I respond to the world from a place of love"
"May I know I am safe and protected"
"May I know deep trusting love"
I hope this loving kindness practice inspires you as it has me.
