The Four Agreements

Hi Everyone,
Happy Friday, I hope you are all doing well. I am doing great. I got behind this week with my postings but I will get back on track. Christa and I went to see This is It last night. I must say I agree with what Oprah said after viewing it, What A Loss. It is definitely worth the 7.00 dollars to see what would have been the show of the year or even this decade. Even though you see it through a rehearsal view, you still get so much of his vision and his incredible talent. Micheal was still strong and making killer moves and sang amazingly live. Bring a tissue if you grew up with the Jackson 5 because he does the song Ben. When he is finished he says something to his family that breaks your heart even more. He was very happy, laughing, joking and looking forward to the adventure as he said. He bonded with everyone there and he was given the up most support and respect in return. As they danced next to him and performed wth him they were in aww of him. He even took the time to let them shine and step back. Every applaud from his crew he would be humbled and smile simply saying God bless. When I left I thought to myself Thank God that in his last days he was surrounded by so many people who loved him, did not judge him and looked past all the bs in his life. They were a family with a tragic ending. Hope you get to see it. Today I wanted to share the 4 agreements with you. I think they are a good tool to live by. I hope you all have a great weekend.

Attraction Can Bring You what You Do and Don't Want

Photobucket

Hi Everyone,
I hope you are doing well. I am doing great. Today I am sharing 3 and 4 from the book 365 ways to live the Law of Attraction. Hope you get something out of it for yourself. I am trying to focus on this method as well. Thanks for visiting my blog today.
Take Care,
Janet :)

3.Proponents of the Law of Attraction brings you what you think of most. Thoughts can become emotionally charged. When you desire something for example like a new dress, you also feel emotion every time your mind thinks of having that new dress, shoes, handbag and jacket. You are filled with excitement at the possibility of having your desire fulfilled. You believe you can have it. You deserve it. It is coming. You consider ways to speed up things to get that outfit. You might even develop a plan off action to get the money to go shopping at the mall.

4.Origins of the Law. According to some who have studied it, the Law of Attraction has been with us since the beginning of time, perhaps even at the moment of creation and the beginning of thought. Others say it is impossible to pinpoint exactly when the concept entered human consciousness. Some self-help experts believe it has been around for 6000 to 7000 years ago where it found expression in the mystic a traditions and beliefs of the ancients. Magicians of long ago certainly observed and wrote about affiliates between things before advent of science. Translations of ancient texts suggest that our spiritual ancestors thought a lot about the heaven and earth and all the creatures that existed and as well pondered the relationships between things

To My Mother Who Gave Me LIfe

Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all doing well. I had a great birthday day with my family. Yet a part of my heart is broken not having you here to say Happy Birthday like you did for so many years, it brought me a few tears. All day I have been thinking of my mother who gave birth to me 46 years ago. Times were rough growing up, but we got past all that, and our love grew even deeper. No matter where you are Mom you got me and I have got you. We became two souls in one. Thanks for bringing me to life, I love it.

On this day 46 years ago,
I was born, to the women
I so adore. We had hard
times as I grew, so sick
she was and us kids knew.

There were times, when you
lost your mind. Disease
got the best of you, there
was nothing we could do.

Then when Dad passed away,
You went to get help in a new
place. In short time, you came
back to life.

All of a sudden you became
a great mother we reclaimed.
for almost 20 years, we shared
joy and tears. I feel so sad that
you had to endure old treatments
that now in this new age with a pill
can cure.

I miss you and me, I miss
you beyond belief, I know
you loved me enough, to
be watching me from above.

I'll Remember

Hi Everyone,
I hope you are doing well. I am doing good. I chose this song for Music Monday because last night when I was posting my I got you video on my other blog, I began to remember my Father. He was a good man who set a great example for my siblings and I. He taught by example not to give up on someone you love when they are at their worst. That to find the good in your life no matter what. It brought me to tears even now 22 years after his passing. I miss you Dad, Thanks for sticking by mom and all of us when most men would have left. I will remember you in everything I do.

Law of Attraction

Photobucket

Hi Everyone,
I hope you are doing well. I am doing great. Before I went on vacation I was at the book store and I picked up a book titled 365 ways to live the law of attraction. I know some use the Secret, but I really like this book so far. I will share some of it's teachings with you. I will still share some loving kindness meditations as well. I feel this is something I need right now in my life. In a way I am still in the process of letting go of the painful past and starting over again. I can use this to help bring good things to me as I begin on a new journey. Here are the first two of the 365 in this book. I hope you get something out of them for yourselves.
Thanks for visiting my blog,

1. An Ancient Teaching with Many Names.
Modern spiritual seekers have called the Law of Attraction a recently discovered ancient secret teaching. Indeed the law is ancient in its origins. Whether or not it was ever lost or purposefully kept secret could be argued, but what is true is that though the centuries, various spiritual teachers, philosophers, and others have mentioned or discussed the Law of Attraction, albeit calling it by various names in their teachings or writings. Today renewed interest in the subject has captured the age-old concept into a new mainstream popular culture while simultaneously placing it under a lens of scrutiny, you may already be familiar with the concept of the law. The popular books and Cd's about the law of attraction by Americans Esther and Jerry Hicks and Canadian Micheal Losier, among others as well as the mega hit, The Secret by Australian Rhona Byrne have put principles of that universal spiritual law into greater public awareness.

2. How the Law Works.
If you have heard old adages such as "Like attracts Like", birds of a feather flock together, as above as below, what you give out come back to you multiplied many times over. Even in the Bible Jesus says ask and ye shall receive. Then you may have an idea of what the Law of Attraction is.Simply put a persons thoughts attracts objects, people, and situations and circumstances, both positive and negative, into his or her life. Proponents of the Law of Attraction assert the law b rings you what you desire when you are 1)clear about what you want, 2)energize your desire for the item with thoughts , emotions visual imagery and also talk about it and believe it is coming, and 3)feel and express gratitude for what you already have and that which you desire, even if it has not yet come into your experience.

Only Boring People Get Bored

Photobucket

Hi Everyone, I hope all is well with you. A teacher once had this to say, "Only boring people get bored". This loving kindness practice will help you if you find yourself in that place of boredom. Using this practice you will increase your sense of Joy, wonder and appreciation of the world. The next time you feel dull, and lifeless, simply say to yourself, "May I increase my appreciation of the world around me," "May I be conscious of the complexity and wonder of the world", "May I be fulfilled and at peace". Hopefully these words will transform your mindset of boredom into a world of wonder. When we pay attention to the little things in our life everything around us can begin to look magical and renewed. I used a facebook quiz today" What is your Spiritual Personality?" and the results were Buddhism which is truly the basis of my beliefs, then it hit me that is why I was drawn to these meditations. So for anyone who is new to these meditations and to those of you who follow these here I decided to share the history of this meditation. Metta is the Pali word for friendship or lovingkindness. It is taught as a meditation that cultivates our natural capacity for an open and loving heart. With its roots in practices said to be taught by the Buddha himself, metta is traditionally offered along with meditations that enrich compassion, joy in the happiness of others and equanimity. These practices lead to the development of concentration, fearlessness, happiness and a greater ability to love. There is no one posture in which you cannot send thoughts of metta. In intensive metta exercises, one radiates loving kindness all the time in whatever position one is in, standing, walking, sitting and if not sleepy lying down.

Believe More Than Ever Before

Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all doing well. I am doing great. It was a great week in Paradise, if you have never been to Aruba and some day you plan a trip I would highly recommend it, but ask me about where we stayed. Some are better than others. When we arrived they gave us a free two bedroom upgrade that had an ocean view which was a minute walk away from us. They have specials every night at their two bars one at the hotel and one on the beach. Two for one etc, barbecue night, great food every time we tried it in their restraints. Everyday the staff at the resort come in and make your bed and clean your room. It was the better than I expected. Today we went to Brianna's 2nd birthday, it was alot of fun. Christa got a bounce house and her and her cousins had alot of laughs. This time of year is always bittersweet. Brianna was born, yet 4 days later her grandmother Wendy died. For those of you who follow me, I don't mean to repeat this part of the story, but something happened today that I have to share and I want to fill in my new readers. When Wendy was in her last days, I went to a store that sells Angel stones. One for guardian etc. For some reason I felt compelled to buy one and when I sat with Wendy in her last day's I placed it in her hand. I whispered in her ear that I would give this Angel stone to Brianna when she is old enough to understand. There it stayed until she passed away. Christa is holding on to it and sometimes I check because I forget easily, you still have it right Christa, Ya mom LOL! Wendy also loved Angels, they were everywhere in her house. So today me and Briana wound up walking over to Christa's little garden that is filled with Wendy's Angel's that were in her garden. Then as we walked away Christa said something she has never said to me before. She told me every time Briana looks at an Angel she says Mimme which is her name for me. It hit me like a bolt of lightning and for a minute I went into shock, then before I could remind Christa she got busy doing other things. I felt Wendy let me know today she knew what I did and yes she is her Angel. It brings a tear to my eye and a smile to face because I truly believe she is watching over Brianna when I am not there and she is still with us at every gathering, Thank you Wendy I believed before, but now more than ever. One other sad note, Wendy's mother had to be taken off life support Friday. She had heart troubles and things went down from there. Her name was Lois and she was a great lady. I know she is with Wendy and her other daughter Judy who passed away a year before Wendy. Rest in peace Lois. I am glad I got to know you in my lifetime.
